Artemisa, Cuba - With the Distinctions: Double Crown and Municipal and National Reference, within the Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture Movement, the Tres Hermanos organic farm stands out in San Antonio de los Baños.
This hectare, dedicated mainly to the production of vegetables, fresh condiments and medicinal plants, uses agroecological techniques such as organic fertilizers; In addition, manual irrigation is used to make rational use of water. The farm has 4 workers, united through their work as farmers for more than 14 years.
Andrés Hernández Sánchez, head of the area, offers details on the distribution of production: ''These products are sold to the population and distributed to prioritized centers, including the Ivan Portuondo General Teaching Hospital, the Maternal Home, the Grandparents House and childcare centers.
