Students and teachers celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the International Film and Television School (EICTV), located in San Antonio de los Baños.With the words of the director Susana Molina, it was recognized the work done by the school since December 15, 1986 when Fidel Castro inaugurated the EICTV.
In addition, the presentation of more than 30 films by EICTV students in the recently concluded Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana was highlighted. Jerónimo Labrada, 2019 National Film Award, founder of the school and its academic director, was also recognized.
As a tradition, graduates carried out a generation-by-generation count, whose representatives shared dedications to the institution that formed them as filmmakers. One of them, the Colombian Andrés Buitrago, graduated in the Fiction specialty, recalled Fernando Birri's words about the so-called '' School of All Worlds.
