Artemisa: 9th anniversary

Artemisa, Cuba - On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the creation of the province of Artemisa I would like to highlight fascinating spaces of this geography, including Las Terrazas, in the Sierra del Rosario, in the municipality of Candelaria. I also highlight my San Antonio de los Baños, which has hosted important international events such as the International Biennial of Graphic Humor, and where the International Film and Television School is located.

It is a pleasure to see its Boulevard, its elegant and affordable gastronomy units, to know that in the region there is a beautiful Orquideario and a Development Zone that grows very close to the sea, producing to replace imports.

Other municipalities such as Güira de Melena contribute to the production of food, with tradition. Thus, full of dreams, modifications and challenges, Artemisa will be nine years old. It is a context in which we still have to work to strengthen the identity of the people, in which the 2020 economy plan projects twice the investments executed in 2019.

Another priority is to advance for the culmination of the highway access road from the provincial capital, as it reduces 12 kilometers to the road and improves transportation between the municipality and the Mariel Special Development Zone. The Juarez Cinema was recently inaugurated and continues the repair of the Vicente Mora Theater, an emblematic institution of Guanajay dating back to 1930 with important historical and architectural values.

The province advances in terms of investments for agriculture, including the construction of a Seed Pelletizing Plant and a place for the assembly of a molecular biology department in the National Laboratory of Parasitology, both works in Ariguanabo.

During these nine years, Artemisa has become a beautiful province, something that must radiate every day to all its spaces. There is much work to be done, because difficulties always exist. However, I believe in many people, who like me, formerly from Havana, today from Artemisa, see the sunlight that is born stronger every January and not the spots that the enemies of the Revolution want to highlight.
