Havana - The Matanzas Crocodiles and the sub-23 pre-selection have begun the second stage of the face-off of teams in preparation for next engagements abroad.
The Cuban team, which has as its manager the former catcher Eriel Sanchez, was nominated for the Group B, along with Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama.
The Group A has Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Venezuela. The first stage and the Super Round, to take place from February 26th to 29th, in Managua, will define the three countries classified for the Arizona pro-Olympics.
The Cuban selection, led by Miguel Borroto, will participate in the Arizona pre-Olympics, slated for March 22nd to 26th, which will see another teams from the Americas, and where the nomination for Tokyo-2020 will be disputed, with another two for the eilmination i Taipei, China, in April.
Cuba is in Group B, with Canada, Colombia and Venezuela, while the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua and the United States are in the Group B.
