Artemisa, Cuba - The increase in radio activity, the maintenance of the Department of Ariguanabo Radio Club and the participation in activities for the Defense of the Homeland were some of the issues discussed during the Radio Amateur Assembly Balance in the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa province.
Duval Pérez Rodríguez, president of the Radio Club, explained that there are 46 members (11 women), including 6 members of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and 4 of the Young Communist League (UJC).
According to Pérez Rodríguez, among the main activities carried out by the Radio Club during the last semester of 2019 are: the participation of the radio amateurs in the March of the Generals “By the Route of the Bronze Titan”, in the Pilgrimage to the Church of El Rincón and on Territorial and National Defense Days.
At the meeting the new members were approved; In addition, it was called to keep the antennas and equipment in good technical condition and to comply with the Ethics Code. The outstanding radio amateurs were recognized.
Ariguanabo radio amateurs affirmed that the Radio Club shows a gradual growth and ratified their commitment to the Homeland.
