Cuban President calls to overcome importing mentality

Havana - The president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, has urged to overcome the import mentality through the search for domestic solutions.

In his Twitter account, the president commented on his participation on Thursday in the annual balance of the Ministry of Industries, in which he called to encourage exports to boost economic development.

During the meeting, Diaz-Canel said that the combination of savings and efficiency are crucial for the country.

At the meeting, topics such as the behavior of the containers and packaging policy, recycling and production of machines, tools and equipment, industrial development, the investments that generate it and substitution of imports, among other topics, were analyzed.
