Artemisa, Cuba - Specialists from the different health areas in each of the eleven municipalities of the province of Artemisa work to boost the actions inherent to the Maternal and Child Program (PAMI) that provide care for the mother and the newborn.
As part of this strategy in the primary health care in the case of Maternity Homes, these institutions are responsible for monitoring each of the pregnant women who enter these centers for various reasons.
The health staff who work at the maternal home Mariana Grajales in the capital city, in addition to caring for pregnant women, also carry out preventive and assistance actions with the family and to this end carry out educational talks once a week.
