Havana - The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, stated this Tuesday that the National Hero of this country, Jose Marti, lives in his people and his thoughts guide their actions.
On Twitter, the foreign minister, on the 125th anniversary of the fall in combat of the Apostle of Independence, recalled that the notion that Homeland is Humanity is a maxim that the island defends.
He expressed that Cuba also follows Marti's ideas of justice, patriotism, independence, anti-imperialism and Latin Americanism.
At another time, the minister referred to the fact that these principles underpin the humanitarian nature of medical brigades working in other countries.
'Beyond those who try in vain to discredit them,' they shine with their own light, Rodríguez reiterated on Twitter, adding that solidarity and cooperation in times of Covid-19 are extremely necessary.
