Artemisa, Cuba - The postponement of the restart of the 2019-2020 school year for the University of Artemisa will not affect the fulfillment of the processes related to Higher Education in this educational center, explained Dr. Lourdes Barrios, Head of the Institutional Communication department of the staff.
She clarified that this measure responds to the guidelines of the Central State Administration Management, based on what was approved by the National Working Group to face COVID-19, for the recovery stage and the adjustments that result from the epidemiological situation in each territory.
The 2019-2020 Academic Calendar for the completion of all types of course, university courses and short-cycle training programs, will have a first period of 13 weeks, which will run until November 27 of this year and includes the Extraordinary Exams of end of the course, scheduled for the last week.
The entrance exams to higher education in the provinces of Artemisa, Havana, Mayabeque and Matanzas will only be carried out if the epidemiological conditions allow the young people to have a face-to-face preparation of at least 4 weeks, and if it does not violate any prevention regulation issued by the respective provincial governments.
