Artemisa, Cuba - Young people from Guanajay maintain an active participation in the efforts to confront COVID-19 in the territory, their work stands out for their collaboration in the different brigades to support this task, reported Yainet Caiñas Costa, Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Union of Young Communists in the locality.
The educational institutions also promote compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures and work groups have been created to check that teachers and students cleaning of their shoes as was oriented to access the classrooms.
She added that since the months of confinement, mainly young people belonging to the education, culture and sports sectors collaborated in the tasks of organizing queues in commercial establishments as well as in the prioritized attention to vulnerable groups such as the elderly who live alone and people with risks of contracting the disease.
She also stated that at the end of this stage and got back to the school year, the plaque "Youth for Life" was awarded to those who stood out the most in fulfilling the task.
