Artemisa, Cuba - The rains associated with Hurricane Delta, which moved westward through the southern part of the western provinces of the country, favor the development of the agriculture in the Marcelo farm of the Production Cooperative Unit (UBPC) 30 de Noviembre of the Ceiba Citrus Company, in the municipality of Caimito.
Lázaro Torres Ledesma, a worker in that production area located in the area known as Guachinango, explained that on the farm where he works together with three other agricultural workers, the rains benefited the plantations of papaya, cassava, guava, corn, sweet potato, black beans and bananas that are in an area lacking of irrigation system.
This production area is an example of what is being done in the territory with the purpose of obtaining food for the population of Caimito in the next months of the current cold campaign, and where are reaffirmed the words of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC), Army General Raúl Castro Ruz when he stated that: "... if the man is good, the land is good."
