Havana - The President of Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), Esteban Lazo, convened on Thursday the 5th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the 9th Legislature, scheduled for October 28.
Through a statement published on the Parliament's official website, lawmakers, the agencies of the Central State Administration and other bodies and authorities were informed that the meeting will be held at the Conference Center in Havana in the morning of that date.
Despite the complex epidemiological situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the working groups of that body have maintained their functions.
On September 21, lawmakers analyzed the draft bills for the functioning of the State in line with the new Constitution, approved in February 2019.
That meeting also reported on the results of the lawmakers' work to verify the compliance with the strategy to face Covid-19 nationwide.
