Beijing - China said on Thursday that it expected that the next Government of the United States has the will to handle and turn a page on the escalation of frictions that have taken bilateral ties to their worst period in history.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Yucheng pointed out that Beijing expects to work along with Washington under the principles of non-confrontation, mutual respect and mutually beneficial exchanges.
'Despite differences, both countries have many common interests and a broad space for cooperation,' he recalled.
Le confirmed that keeping stable and fluid ties benefits the two powers, and is in tune with the expectations of the international community.
