Artemisa, Cuba – Moving the products of the regulated basic basket to the establishments in charge of their commercialization to the population is one of the state orders of the Artemisa Provincial Transportation Company.
Carrying out this activity under the current conditions is a challenge, but the state's priority is clear in this regard.
With a fleet of 28 to 30 vehicles and around 1 800 liters of fuel per day and exhibiting a Technical Availability Coefficient of 70%, it is recognized the national priority in the distribution of the basket, even in the face of the need to limit other transfers and stop other activities.
The protection of the population does not only include that the resources reach the grocery stores. It also implies the adoption of measures that allow the safety of truckers and workers of the commerce system, a guarantee that exists if the protocols established by the company are respected.
