Havana - The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported today 21 new patients with Covid-19, which brings to 7,725 the total number of people diagnosed with the disease in this country since March 11.
According to the official information released this Thursday, 391 patients remain admitted to hospitals, all with stable clinical evolution. The day before 29 patients were discharged from the hospital and were transferred to their homes, where they will remain under clinical-epidemiological surveillance from Primary Health Care.
With these latest medical discharges, the number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 7,201 and the total number of deaths remains at 131. This Wednesday, 8,684 diagnostic tests were studied throughout the national territory to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, thus accumulating one million two thousand 370 samples taken.
The new cases reported this morning belong to the provinces of Pinar del Río, Havana, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Las Tunas and Holguín; 13 were contacts of confirmed cases, seven were infected abroad and one is investigating the source of infection.
This Caribbean nation is going through the stage of a new normal; However, the authorities insist on self-responsibility and compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
