Cuban culture in digital media

The V Day of Cuban culture in digital media will be held at the Cuba Pavilion, venue of the Hermanos Saiz Association, from November 11th to 14th, to foster discussion and exchange of experiences on the use of technology information and communication within cultural processes.

The program of the event, which will be held from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. at the Salon de Mayo, includes lectures, presentations and panels on the presence of Cuban culture in the digital world as well as the delivery of Palma Digital Award 2014 in different categories, recognizing the best websites and multimedia products of our cultural country.

When digital cultural consumption will be dedicated the opening round on Tuesday. During the session projects that encourage the consumption of information products and services on Cuban culture through mobile applications, mapping and geopositioning, video games and digital TV platforms is presented.

On Wednesday, celebrating the 21st anniversary of the portal of the Cuban culture will be presented the products and services made by this company and are known for their new projects will be presented; and on Thursday will be for music and audiovisual, and members of the AHS will address the challenges of digital technologies for the creation and promotion of its works.

The digital cultural journalism will occupies the agenda of the last day of the conference. By then he will discuss some experiences in digital publications and social networks. Also, that day delivery of Palma Digital Awards 2014 will take place.

As part of this V Day, organized by the Cubarte Portal and the Ministry of Culture, in the theater of the Pavilion will be a showing of documentaries, animated shorts, TV shows dedicated to Cubarte Clip.cu and DVD Danza el milagro de Cuba, The dance miracle of Cuba, by Cuban National Ballet.

Likewise every day, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, who arrives to the AHS venue can download free games, children movies, books, magazines, music, Ecured mobile as well as the purchase and multimedia products by Cubarte Editions.
