Awarded the quality in the food industry of Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba – Winery San Cristóbal belonging to Cuban Rum Company was awarded with the Relevant Prize in the Third Provincial Meeting of Committees for the Quality of the Food Industry, held last Friday at the Recreation Center Los Laureles in the municipality of Artemisa.

Mayelín Báez González and Heriberto Peña Romero, authors of the awarded presentation, proposed a significant reduction of the costs for the production that increase considerably the efficiency of the wines Soroa.

"The Committee of Quality worked just on the task of find where were focused the problems for which the cost of the production of the wine were unsustainable; when those were found, they worked in order to achieve new production alternatives that would make the factory work using its 100% of the installed capacity for ferment and produce wines. Throughout this year the process of production has been very satisfactory obtained till the current date 80,000 boxes, achieving an 80% of the plan for this year. "

The Food Company with the paper "Aseguramiento de la Calidad” (Quality Assurance) obtained mention, while the unit Balkán from the Dairy Company in the province was highlighted during the event which bet for the quality of the food productions in Artemisa.
