Initiated campaign of vaccination against influenza

Artemisa, Cuba -The beginning of the campaign of vaccination against flu is one of the actions developing by professionals from the Ministry of Public Health in our country to reduce acute respiratory infections and the province of Artemisa is inserted this task that began this Tuesday, November 25, throughout the national territory.
The persons with more than 85 years of age, who are institutionalized in nursing homes for old people and grandparents homes and cases with cerebral palsy, are some of the ones that made up this group of risk which is going to receive the vaccination.
Is also planned to immunize those suffering from chronic kidney failure, diabetics from 18 and 24 years, pregnant women in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, workers from pigs and poultry farms and the medical staff working in bacteriological and clinical laboratories and in closed units as the intensive care ward.
Ileana Reyes Hernández specialist of the health prevention group from the provincial management of the sector in Artemisa said that the campaign is organized by the health professionals from the doctors' family offices which operate in each health area.
