Cuban Parliament to Adopt Economic Plan and Budget for 2015

Havana, Cuba - The Cuban National Assembly of People´s Power (Parliament) will consider the approval today of main documents for Cuban economy in 2015 during the 4th Session of the 8th Legislature taking place at Havana´s Convention Centre.
Some 600 lawmakers from all 168 Cuban municipalities will debate the economic results in 2014 and the draft economic plan for next year. They will also evaluate the budge performance and approve the new Budget Law.
High on the agenda is the report on the implementation of the guidelines adopted by the 6th Communist Party Congress regarding the update of the Cuban economic model.
The session takes place after three days of work by the Parliament´s 10 standing commissions, which evaluated different agendas related to issues of crucial importance for the country.
