From today change of identity card in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba - From today begins the implementation of the new identity card in the municipality of Artemisa, a procedure that gradually is going to take place in the rest of the municipalities of the province: San Cristóbal and Candelaria will start the January 9, Bauta and Guanajay the 13, Mariel and Caimito the 20; San Antonio de los Baños and Alquízar the 23; Güira de Melena the 27 and Bahía Honda the 30.
This new identity card offers among its advantages the full identification of citizens with the inclusion of biometric data; a stronger hardware, photography service; the request and obtaining from anywhere in the country and the use of advanced technologies for data collection.
It is also more reliable and secure than the current due that it incorporates a hologram associated with the laminate, micro text, security patterns, invisible printing, photography and digital and printed signature and zones of mechanics reading.
To make the change the interested persons must be present at any office related with this process in all over the country with a stamp of 25 pesos. The change process includes the collecting data of the person and the photo service.
