San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba- ''Let´s activate mental abilities": is the slogan of the cognitive therapy group on the elderly with memory disorder at the ariguanabense grandparents house by the Provincial Center for Comprehensive Community Care.

The house has 40 colleagues divided into two groups for consultations. In the therapy work the patient´s functions that can be preserved, such as memory, attention, language and in an atmosphere of effect. Meanwhile the municipal fellow university along with grandparents house collaborate through simple memory exercises to train their skills.

In 2014 patients were classified as grandparents with normal cognition, mild cognitive impairment and some with possible Alzheimer's disease.

Dr. Sayli Sosa Pérez, head of comprehensive service to memory disorders, highlighted the importance of therapy with the elderly in the functional area as part of the activities in daily life.
