Havana - The prominent Cuban intellectual and teacher, Eduardo Heras Leon will be officially awarded today with the National Literature Prize 2014, in the framework of the 24 Edition of the Cuba International Book Fair.
In this way is recognized the work of an entire literary career that besides writing also includes editing, philology and journalism, among other functions that led him to win such a prestigious award.

Currently Heras León serves as First vice president of the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists and has represented Cuba in various international events such as book fairs, conferences and international meetings of writers and has given lectures and classes in about twenty countries.

Another interesting point of the fourth day of the Cuban literary macro-event will be the demonstration of yoga exercises taught by Indian teachers, Seema Sagar y Surender Sandhu, whose country of origin is the guest of honor of the fair.

Also related to the guest nation will be revered the culinary arts of the Asian country with the launching of the book 'Cuisine of India: colors, textures and aromas, of writer Yanosik Hernández, among others in the popular room Rabindranath Tagore, named in honor to the historic Indian poet.

The program also includes the possibility for the public to download Cuban Electronic Books through a wireless network, and the sale of devices necessary to achieve it.

These and other activities cover the fourth day of the 24th Fair, that besides offering a varied publication of over five million copies, offers to the massive amount of visitors it receives for 10 days, the chance to grow a little more as an individual using the weapon of knowledge.
