The Dead Daisies to Give Historic Concert in Cuba
Havana - U.S. rock band The Dead Daisies will give today the first of two concerts in Havana, where they came decided to lay bridges with Cuban music.
This band, bringing together stars from other groups such as The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, and Ozzy Osbourne, will bring a proposal dedicated to peace at this capital's Maxim Rock hall.
The band expects to give a more acoustic and closed concert at the Maxim Rock hall, but they will give a more metal variant at the Havana-based Salon Rosado de La Tropical, the scene of main dance music groups in Cuba, for the approval of local fans.
Coordinated by the Network in Defense of Humanity and the Cuban Music Institute, the band's performances will focused on an original repertoire in which they will assume all acoustic experiences of those instrumentalists, among them Bernard Fowler and Darryl Jones, both from The Rolling Stones.
Jones stated that to be in Cuba is exciting for musicians from anywhere and more, for those who come with the desire to know and take in all the energy of Cuban rhythm.
In addition of those performances, The Dead Daisies will also give a master class at the Maxim Rock hall this afternoon.
