The Amateur Radio Club in San Antonio de los Baños

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The Amateur Radio Club of the municipality remains active in order to establishing communication inside and outside the country. Jorge Ignacio Llanes, president of the radio club in this locality states that constitute a non-governmental institution with social character, the territory has 50 members with an heterogeneous composition in a wide range of occupations and ages. At present children and young people are interested mainly as hobby, its foundation refers to 1964.
Jorge Ignacio stresses that ariguanabense club is prestige by having the founder Diocles Bello Rosabal, an active amateur. Insists that each communication contact is done through a personal indicative that identifies the country and category of amateur achieved through the results of a knowledge test in correspondence with the code of ethics.
The Ariguanabo radio amateurs are among the first in the nation, currently are activated in order to provide coverage for the popular elections planned for April, also in 2014 took part in commemorative, historical and calendar events nationally, in conditions emergency and in the days of territorial defense.
