Monitoring is done by a team of specialists who analyze morbidity of all pregnant women in order to assess the risks and individual strategy in each case which includes admission to the maternal home or at the Teaching Hospital Ivan Portuondo.

Screening also includes educational activities in favor of a proposal healthier lifestyle with healthy eating habits, prenatal care and institutional delivery.

One of the causes of prematurity, is conditioned by the increase of blood pressure during pregnancy. It has been noted in some patients with low weight thereof leads to underweight baby. The main object of PAMI is that pregnant have optimum health for themselves and the baby.
