The production of fruits in the eyes of the Cuban farmers

Artemisa, Cuba - We must secure the resources for the implementation of new technologies for the increase of the production of fruits, such as the irrigation systems and the machinery of new type, said in Artemisa the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Adel Izquierdo.
In the V Meeting of the Productive Movement for Fruit Producers Cooperatives the also First Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning said that through the program More Food (Más Alimentos), the country will acquire this year new irrigation systems, sprayer machines and tractors.
Lázaro Hernández, president of the Cooperative of Credits and Services Antonio Maceo, in Mayabeque urged to lower the input costs to achieve a balance between the production and the farmer's pocket.
He also defended the idea of build a mini-industry in each cooperative for the municipal self-sufficiency and keep raising the production of different varieties of fruits for the consumption of the Cuban population at affordable prices.
