Women of Artemisa play an important role in the current nomination of candidates

Artemisa, Cuba - Among the 134 persons proposed as candidates for delegates of the People's Power till the present date in Artemisa, over 40% are women.
According to the report by Vilma Zamora, president of the provincial electoral commission, at about 65 women have been nominated in the current democratic process that take place in neighborhoods and communities.
Together with the role of women, in Artemisa also stand out among the appointed 77 delegates in full practice of their responsibility, which are again proposed for the upcoming April elections, said Vilma Zamora.
She said finally that the assemblies to nominate candidates are developing with an attendance superior to the 75 percent and will end next March 25 as an important step that will ensure the exercise of direct and secret vote at the polls.
