An ariguanabense participated in fifth National Botany Day

Alfredo Ruiz Fleitas, representing the ecological project Guardians of Nature, participated in the Fifth National Conference of Botany, organized by the Cuban Society of the area dedicated to the study the flora, located in the National Museum of Bellas Artes.

Doctors and professors of the Faculty of Biology at Havana University presented their work during the day. It was talked about the Botany Master of the National Botanic Garden, overcoming considerable importance for those working this specialty. Aattended aspiring to Science Master, among them Alfredo Ruiz. This ariguanabense recently enrolled as a member of the Cuban Botany Society, said the opportunity allows him to achieve greater preparation to be linked with environmental conservation work. In addition, this knowledge will enhance the scope of the project Guardians of Nature.

As part of these activities, leading scientists in Botanical received the award Julián Acuña. Some of them presented their research on the species of flora in Cuba. The Botanical Society planned for next April a workshop on the conservation of cactus, the ascent to Pico Turquino, festivals and student camps.
