Cuba to Take Nine Judokas to Female Pan-American Tournament

Havana - Cuba will take nine judokas to the female continental tournament next April in Edmonton, Canada, qualifying event for the Pan American Games in Toronto-2015, reported Ronaldo Veitía.
The head coach said the team is headed by Idalis Ortiz (+78 kg), Olympic champion London 2012 and world champion Rio-2013 and Chelyabinsk-2014.
Veitía added to the National Information Agency Ortiz will be accompanied by Onix Cortés (70), bronze world medalist last year, and Yalennis Castillo (78), Olympic silver in Beijing 2008.
The list is completed by Dayaris Mestre (48), Yanet Bermoy (52), Aliuska Ojeda (57), Maylín del Toro and Olga Masferrer (63) and Kaliema Antomarchin (78).
The trainer explained that the main objective of his disciples in Edmonton is getting places for the contest of Toronto, expected in next July, and so he sends two judokas in 63 and 78 kilos.
