Havana, Cuba - Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, met on Thursday afternoon with Paolo Gentiloni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, they spoke about the favorable development of bilateral relations and verified the willingness to expand economic and cooperation exchanges between the two countries. Likewise, they spoke about topics of mutual interest on the international agenda.

Accompanying the visitor was Mario Giro, undersecretary of State. Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
