Young Cuban journalists participate in the Audiovisual UNESCO Workshop

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - About the Cuban Press Day is valid to consider the constant improvement for good journalism, that´s why young professionals from Radio and Television in the country will participate in the second stage of an Audiovisual Workshop.
The Cuban Commission for the United Nations of Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Institute of Journalism "José Martí" in Havana convene this meeting from March 31st to April 2nd.
They involve journalists from media of all Cuba, including stations like Radio Ariguanabo, the provincial telecentres ARTV, and other regional or national media.
In this second phase of the workshop youth the will expose to a jury an audiovisual projects developed with creativity and commitment from late December 2014.
After receiving the theoretical knowledge to recall what they learned in their universities, these journalists show the realities of their homeland, especially considering the reflection of women and children.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
