Cuban Boxing Head Coach Optimistic about WSB

Moscow - The Cuban boxing team's head coach, Rolando Acebal, who is coaching team that is representing Cuba at the World Series of Boxing this year, told Prensa Latina that he was optimistic after the 4-1 victory over Russia.
The entire match against Russia ended 9-1 and now the Cuban team is leading Pool A with 9 points, followed by Russia, which still has a pending match against Algeria.
Based on last year's experience, when the Cuban team took part in the WSB for the first time, the Cuban boxers have alreary gained confidence to be victorious in the matches, so now, we felt well prepared to win, said Acebal.
The Cuban coach told Prensa Latina that it is a very long tournament consisting of five rounds, and physical preparation is essential.
So he said that it is crucial to be ready for the matches right now, he said.
"Later, we will reduce the burden to work tactically for the crucial semifinals and finals," said the coach.
Regarding the strategy to use in this edition of the tournament, Acebal pointed out that it is a strategy that responds to the need to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games, so there is no need to replace the fighters.
