San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba- The cooperative and agricultural sector in this municipality applies in arable areas, agroecological practices arising from the use of science and technology in favor to increased food production.

Yeremys de la Caridad Guzmán, president of the National Association of Small Farmers in the territory, states that the use of science and technology is an urgent challenge, adds that in each of the agricultural entities are facilitators and promoters integrated to process and implementation of development activities.

The ANAP president notes that the application of agroecological practices allows the sustainability of agriculture, points out that in these times promote the use of organic fertilizers, biological products, vermiculture and actions that take into account the phases of the moon, saving energy and natural resources is a priority for efficiency in meeting planned.

Further explains that in San Antonio de los Baños is encouraged exchange between peasant leaders in the application of new technologies and the multiplication of experiences between young producers.
