Ariguanabense pioneers in art contest

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The Humor Museum awarded the art contest "Always laugh" in its sixth edition, with the presence of students of first and second cycle of primary education.
The event featured works of students from schools Frederick Engels, Amado Fonseca, Socialist Cuba, the Vocational School of Art Eduardo Abela, Domingo Lence and José Martí. The jury made by specialists of the Museum and the Provincial Visual Arts Center Eduardo Abela gave 3 Awards and 2 mentions in each cycle.
In the first school year received awards Yosmel Vázquez from 4th grade, Melannie Michel Rodriguez and Amelia Lima, all from José Martí school.
In the second cycle the winners were the 5th grade- student Alejandro Mendez from the vocational school art Eduardo Abela, Alexander Torres and Melisa Frontela from Cuba Socialista school center.
This time they have a greater presence of works than the previous edition and managed the participation of students in rural schools.
The municipal Culture Direction and the Humor Museum convened every year to contest that seeks to bring children to the creation of graphic humor.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
