Havana - Manager Roger Machado, director of the Tigers of Ciego de Avila, was elected the best manager of the season in Cuba, according to a revealed today by the Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB) document.

Machado managed the Tigers, the team that got the crown girded at the 34th edition of the National Series, the elite Cuban baseball tournament, after winning in seven matches the final play off over Isla de la Juventud.

José Luis Rodríguez Pantoja, director of the Pirates from Isla de la Juventud, appeared among the favorites to win the nomination, after taking his team up the dispute of the national title, when in the preseason, was placed in the top eight of the tournament .
