Argentina Will Host Forum on Jose Marti Thoughts

Buenos Aires -  Argentina will host from May 4 thru 6 a meeting of the Project Jose Marti of International Solidarity destined to keep promoting the social and political Latin American and Caribbean thinking of the Cuban national hero.

In statements to Prensa Latina, doctor Hector Hernandez Pardo said this forum was conceived to incentivate the study of Marti works, to help understand the roots of the present revolutionary and progressive processes going on in Our America.

It equally contributes to interpret the pioneer genesis of integration and the unity of our peoples, affirmed the coordinator of the Project.

Organized in Buenos Aires by the Ministry of Social Development, the forum will be inaugurated on May 4 at the San Martin Palace of the Argentina Foreign Ministry, with the participation of some 30 specialists forming its World Council.

According to the program, the opening sessión will be presided by Argentinean Foreign Minister Hector Timerman and the Ministers of Education, Alberto Sileoni and Tourism, Enrique Meyer, the Cuban ambassador, Orestes Perez and Hector Hernandez Pardo himself.

One of the objectives of the Project that has the support of UNESCO, the Organization of Iberoamerican States and other international fora, elaborated its coordinator, to keep promoting the creation of Marti professorships.

Meetings as the one announced in Buenos Aires have already been held in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico, Spain and Portugal. Hernandez Pardo expects that this conference in Argentina will contribute to a great academic journey on Marti in many universities of this country.

This movement is oriented to make Our America understood over the world and at thed same timed to sensitize international public opinion on the main problems faced today by humankind, said the scholar.

Marti had a humanistic thinking, deeply ethical, committed with social justice, with integration of Our America, defending the complete dignity of man and the struggle for world balance., said Hernandez Pardo.

The Cuban expert on Marti advanced they are summoning for January, 2016 the 2nd International Conference "With all and for the benefit of All", culmination of another three-year p0eriod of the Jose M;arti International Solidarity Project.
