May Day Brigade Begins Solidarity Agenda in Cuba
Artemisa - The Tenth May Day Brigade, comprised of more than 230 members from 25 countries, begins today its program of solidarity activities in Cuba, including its participation in the parade to celebrate the International Workers'' Day.
According to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, this solidarity contingent will begin its agenda of activities at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, located in the western province of Artemisa, where the group will receive lecture on the Cuban situation and reality, and will perform voluntary work in agriculture.
As part of the program, the brigade members will also accompany the Cuban people in the massive parade taking place every May Day at the Havana´s Revolution Square, in commemoration of the International Workers' Day.
The contingent will attend the following day the International Meeting of Solidarity that traditionally takes place after May Day celebrations.
In the context of the visit, the brigade members will also meet with victims of terrorism against Cuba, and exchange with people and leaders from young organizations, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, and the Federation of Cuban Women.
