Artemisa will host the national act for the World Environment Day

Artemisa, Cuba - In recognition of the results in the implementation of the environmental strategy, the province of Artemisa will host in June 5, the national activities for the World Environment Day.
Marta María Fleitas, Provincial Director of Science, Technology and Environment, stated among the main results that justify the designation, the increase of the forest areas and the decrease of the processes of desertification.
According to Fleitas, the areas for livestock, coffee, cocoa and various crops are preserved and there are significant advances in the program of organic fertilizers, highlighting the production of compost, humus and organic matter.
Next June 5 will be held in Artemisa the National Act for the World Environment Day which will conclude with an agro-ecological fair in the capital town.
