Inclusion of disabled youth into society
San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - Visually impaired, hearing and limited in this municipality have guaranteed of study and job placement in society.
The elementary school on special education "April 17th" developed study programs taking into account the existing adjustments in this type of education with the premise of prepare them for their performance in society.
Orisela Vega, president of the Cuban Association of Physical Motors (ACLIFIM) notes that in the territory works in a coordinated manner the Working Committee of the Local Body of Popular Power with the presidents of the three associations and the multidisciplinary team. Chairs that presidents report the cases with jobs need and the commission assesses the ability and the real possibilities to perform according to the offer and the job that can take.
The ACLIFIM president points that still have to insist on achieving greater sensitivity to respond, because human barriers do more harm than architectural and disabled are examples of will and perseverance in the struggle for life to be socially useful.
