Artemisa, Cuba - After two years of inactivity due to technical problems, the Business Unit (UEB) Pedro Camejo Peña in the municipality of San Cristóbal in the province of Artemisa, restarted its production of roof tiles.

Belonging to the Provincial Building Materials Company, the entity adds to its main production line the red ceramic blocks of which it produces 106 000 units each month, stated its director Edelmo Valdespino.

Edelmo explained that due to the stagnation in the warehouses of high production levels because of the lack of a secure and stable market, is today affected the marketing and the efficiency of the only factory of tiles in Artemisa.

If they achieve the strengthening of its relations with the Ministries of Agriculture and Culture, the Integral Construction Company and the Business Group of the province of Artemisa, the UEB will reach the 150 000 pesos of commercial production each month.
