Is recognized the environmental management in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba – For its results in favor of the environmental protection is now recognized nationally the Environmental Management in the province of Artemisa, organized through a strategy of the Council of the Provincial Administration.
Among the achievements are included the strengthening of the system of the eleven protected areas in the territory, the eradication of 46 pollutant sources that affect water and the decontamination of the Mariel Bay.
In the province of Artemisa in favor of the environment is also increased the use of renewable energy sources like windmills, solar water heating systems, photovoltaic panels and mini-hydroelectric power stations.
Seven international projects with intervention in the most vulnerable ecosystems are implemented in the territory, as well as the reforestation actions to restore the original vegetation of the beaches.
