Havana Biennial with Exhibitions in Capital''s Communities
Havana-Albanian artist and Berlin resident, Anri Sala, is exhibiting today his art in one of the coast communities of the Cuban capital with his exhibit "To each his own in bridges."
With this exhibit as part of the 12th Biennial of Havana, the European artist has already toured some popular neighborhoods of the capital, such as Parque Trillo, a park located in Cayo Hueso, and visited the "Wifredo Lam" Contemporary Art Center. Sala will exhibit today at the entrance of Havana harbor in Casablanca, known as fishermen town.
Especially created for the Biennial, this exhibition include live music as a main event, and the performance of Hilarry Jeffrey (trombone), Andre Vida (saxophone) and a group of Cuban musicians.
Anri Sala was born in Tirana, Albania in 1974 and currently lives and works in Berlin. Among his most outstanding work are audiovisual and video projects.
The 12th Biennial of Havana, to be concluded on June 22, aims among its main objectives to feel the city and its people, and insert them as an active part of the biggest event of the visual arts in the country.
