A look to the cooperative-farm sector

Approach to the cooperative-farm sector is a matter of prioritizing high sensitivity for the ariguanabenses and in general for all Cubans: food production. Since the basic unit that feeds those who spend days and nights to land is necessary to begin to understand that if a political organization working properly, so will its members.

We speak of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), considerable importance in a predominantly agricultural town such San Antonio de los Baños. Among its tasks are to guide, convene and prepare farmers and cooperatives to perform their duties according to the demand of the territory as to the feeding grounds.

I modestly agree with Yereiny Guzman, ANAP president at Ariguanabo regarding the need for the proper performance of directors, greater participation in the partners meetings and in the economic, political and social activities of the municipality.

Another area of interest is hiring, essential for compliance with the resolutions adopted for different entities or sectors.

And if we turn our eyes to the link between ANAP and the Young Communist Union, I think we should take into account the need to increase the number of militants, since youth must be the quarry and the relay of today farmers. But all is not favorable, of course. Always are settle debts. In this case, must be constant vigilance to reduce corruption acts, illegalities and crimes in the field of agriculture, especially livestock. Similarly, we must not forget the contributions of tubers and vegetables to Maternity Home and donated blood as part of a close relationship with Public Health.

ANAP, as any sector, has great challenges and a long way to go. Its responsibility is to work well, which will lead without the slightest doubt, a greater stability to produce food.
