Cuban Choir Has Great Success at University of Yale, USA

Havana - Cuban choir Entrevoces, directed by Digna Guerra, received standing ovations at the International Choral Festival 2015, held at the U.S. University of Yale, the Ministry of Culture of the Caribbean country today reported.
Teachers and students of the prestigious academic center filled the Morse Recital Hall auditorium, of more than 500 seats, applauded the different song included in the performance of the group.
Among the most applauded songs were "El manisero" (The Peanut Vendor), by Moses Simons, as well as the outstanding performance of the young soprano Ariana Rodriguez.
After concluding the concert, the audience standing as applauded requested more songs, and the choir sang "Guantanamera" in a choral version by Electo Silva.
In coming days, Entrevoces will continue its tour of other U.S. cities, including New York, Minnesota, Kentucky, Chicago, North Carolina and Washington.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
