Nature: starting point of human development

Eduardo Galeano said: "If nature were bank it would have been saved" ... wise reflection, but man lives not knowing that she is the source of the greatest riches and neglects its care: everyone's home and thereby put life threatening. Our environment subjects us to the effects of pollution, visible and other invisible and in many cases the man is the cause of the environmental damage. From an early age develop a love for nature from an environmental culture favor the sustainability of life on the planet.
Environmental culture can be considered as the system of knowledge, experiences, motivations, values, attitudes concerning the environment and is related to the forms of social consciousness, for it to develop an environmental culture must start by forming a deep awareness of individuals and community groups. This can be identified as environmental awareness.
Education from the earliest years of life takes into account the promotion of love for nature, we must seize the opportunities offered by visits to the Zoo, the Botanical Garden, the Lenin Park, the Aquarium as spaces of reference for understanding habitat of other living beings who share with us. Interact with children and young people for care about the species is encouraging and an experience that will always provide lessons.
The school and the family have to walk together in this endeavor: the education of attitudes that foster conservation and environmental protection must be part of the objectives of the family, community and society.
In many homes we live with pets and care for them, meet their food and hygienic needs and reproductive health is a commitment that we contract when deciding to have them in our midst and even has to be extended this behavior out of the environment. A society that allows neglected and stray animals on the streets provides a negative image of the environmental culture and love of nature.
Among the requirements for the maintenance and sustainability of life and the planet, open spaces such as parks and forests act as lungs of the city, purify the air, just as rivers and seas ensure the perpetuity of human beings.
We must take care of the species that live in them. It is unfortunate that man was and is a great predator. This is not to educate people not to use natural resources in satisfying their ever growing needs, it is educated to make rational use of these resources in terms of human development.
