Awarded the visual arts at Ariguanabo

Artemisa, Cuba.- Creators from Artemisa received prizes in the twenty-seventh edition of the Provincial Exhibition of Plastic Arts Eduardo Abela, inaugurated at the Provincial Center.
The Eduardo Abela award went to the artemiseño creator Roberto Rubén Alvarez, with the serie "Soledad".
The National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) gave its laurels to work Circulation by Andres Luis Hernandez Roig. Meanwhile Artemis-Mayabeque subsidiary of the Cuban Cultural Fund based in the Villa del Humor, congratulated William Fuentes Valdés for his work Lifestyle.
The references were for "Evolution and involution in question" by Javier Docungé Valdes, "Circulation" by Andrés Luis Hernández Roig and to the work Untitled by Mao Daniel Cardoso Jímenez.
The jury was made by Juan Carlos Muñoz as president, Gretel Medina Delgado, deputy director of the Development Center for the Visual Arts and Elisa Gonzalez Martinez, specialist and curator of the Photographic Library of Cuba.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
