Raul Meets with Visiting Governor of Buenos Aires
Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, met on Wednesday afternoon with Daniel Scioli, governor of the Argentinean province of Buenos Aires, who is on an official visit to the island.
During the fraternal meeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the excellent state of relations between the two countries and exchanged views on the existing potential for developing ties in the economic-commercial areas and in cooperation. They also discussed other issues on the regional and international agendas.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Rafael Folonier, secretary of International Relations; Carlos Peralta, Undersecretary for International Economic Relations; and Rafael Perelmiter, economic adviser; all government officials in the province of Buenos Aires.
Also taking part in the meeting, for Cuba, were Ricardo Cabrisas, vice president of the Council of Ministers; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez; and Jose Ramon Balaguer, head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party.
