Every August 2nd is celebrated in Cuba the Graph Worker Day, in honor to Alfredo Lopez Arencibia, typographer disappeared in 1926. Native from Sagua la Grande, in Las Villas province, he suffered from child discrimination and social inequality for being poor, mestizo and illegitimate son. Active participation in social excesses, he joined the Cuban graphics, was founder of the Federation Workers of Havana and the National Workers' Confederation of Cuba, first markedly anti-imperialist organizations. Julio Antonio Mella called him "master of the Cuban proletariat" whom on July 20th, eighty-seven years ago was killed by his unit and advocates ideas of workers.
