Decrease the pollutant sources in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba - Specialists from the Management of Science, Technology and Environment in Artemisa, work to eradicate the pollutant sources which are decreasing in the territory, according to the Council of the Provincial Administration.
The pig farming in urban areas, the proliferation of garbage dumps and the generation of solid and liquid wastes by state institutions are among the 52 causes of the development of harmful sites.
To reduce the harmful effects of these pollutant sources in the province the authorities of Artemisa increase the public health and environmental inspection in communities and also controls in pig’s centers and in companies that use chemicals, organic and inorganic products.
Other focuses of attention are the noise pollution and the dumping of wastes in coastal areas of the province, which shows its first successes in the decontamination program of the Mariel Bay.
