
Los Angeles - Extended editions of every film that make up the Hobbit trilogy, directed by New Zealand filmmaker Peter Jackson, are set to show in US theaters on October 5.
The third part of the saga, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, is the shortest trilogy film, with 174-minute extended version, while An Unexpected Journey has 182 and The Desolation of Smaug, 186.
During the three consecutive years of the franchise releases, the worldwide box office receipts amounted to about $ 3 billion.
In fact, the first Jackson´s films about the adventures in Middle-Earth reported earnings by more than five thousand 800 million dollars.
